Convocatoria de 20 nuevas plazas de Policía Local en Parla

The City Council of Parla, through the Department of Human Resources, has announced 20 new positions for Local Police officers. Included in the Public Employment Offers of 2025 and previous years, 16 of these positions will be filled through a competitive examination process, while the remaining 4 will be filled through a mobility system without promotion.

Applications and documentation can be submitted until June 18, using the standardized form available at the SAC Offices or through the Electronic Headquarters. All information is available in the Public Employment section of the Electronic Headquarters of the Parla City Council.

Call for positions included in the Public Employment Offer of the Parla City Council

The BOE No. 122 of May 21, 2025 (reference BOE-A-2025-10035) includes the publication of the call for sixteen positions for Police officers of the Local Police Force, belonging to the Special Administration scale, Special Services sub-scale, and Local Police class and their assistants, through the competitive examination system, in open competition.

The same official publication includes the call for four positions for Police officers of the Local Police Force, belonging to the Special Administration scale, Special Services sub-scale, and Local Police class and their assistants, through the competitive system, in a mobility rotation.

These positions are part of the Public Employment Offers of the Parla City Council for the years 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, and » reaffirm the commitment of this City Council and this Government team to public employment and to strengthen, as we have been doing since 2018, citizen security in compliance with our commitment to enhance such an important and essential service,» emphasized the Councilor for Human Resources, Andrés Correa Barbado, before adding, «a reinforcement that we have been carrying out not only in terms of human resources but also in everything related to material resources, from equipment to vehicles.»

Requirements to apply for the positions

  • Be of Spanish nationality.
  • Be eighteen years of age.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s, Technical, or equivalent academic qualification, issued in accordance with current legislation. If obtained abroad, the equivalence must be provided by the applicant through a certification issued for this purpose by the competent authority in each case. In the case of qualifications obtained abroad, proof of the corresponding validation or credential verifying homologation must be provided.
  • Meet the physical and psychological requirements necessary to perform the functions adequately.
  • Not have been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings from the service of any public administrations or constitutional or statutory bodies of the autonomous communities, nor be subject to absolute or special disqualification for public employment or office by judicial resolution.
  • Have no criminal record.
  • Hold a Class B driver’s license or equivalent.
  • Commitment to carry and use weapons in cases provided for by law through a sworn statement or oath.
  • Prove not having been convicted by final judgment for any crime against sexual freedom and integrity as classified in Title VIII of Organic Law 10/1995, of November 23, of the Penal Code, as well as for any crime of human trafficking as classified in Title VII bis of the Penal Code by providing a negative certification from the Central Registry of Sexual Offenders. *This requirement will be proven by a certification from the Central Registry of Sexual Offenders provided for in said organic law.

As for the requirements for candidates for positions with mobility by promotion, they are:

  • Be in an administrative situation of active service or special services, in the category of Police.
  • Be a career civil servant in the category of Police of any Local Police Force in the Community of Madrid with a minimum of three years of seniority as a career civil servant in the category and a minimum of five years remaining until moving to the second activity status. For the purposes of the required seniority, the time spent in the second activity status due to pregnancy or risk during natural lactation will be computed.
  • Not be in a second activity administrative situation, except for pregnancy or risk during natural lactation.
  • Prove that, in the case of having obtained a position through the mobility access system previously, service was provided in the municipality where it was obtained for at least five years.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, issued in accordance with current legislation.
  • Hold a Class B driver’s license or equivalent.
  • Meet the physical and psychological requirements necessary to be considered fit to perform the corresponding functions adequately. A medical examination will be conducted by the designated physicians for this purpose. Participation in the process implies express authorization for the conduct of these analyses and tests. If the interested party refuses to undergo these analyses or tests, the Tribunal, after hearing from the party, will decide to exclude them from the process.
  • Not be in a situation of separation through disciplinary proceedings from the service of any Public Administrations or constitutional or statutory bodies of the Autonomous Communities, nor be subject to absolute or special disqualification for public employment or office by judicial resolution for access to the body or scale of the public function in which the separation or disqualification occurred.
  • Other requirements required for the provision of the position to be filled.

* Obtaining a position through mobility in the Municipal Police Force of the Parla City Council entails a minimum stay of five years in said Council.

Submission of applications and accompanying documentation

Applications and documentation can be submitted until June 18. They must conform to the standardized model of the Parla City Council, available at both the Citizen Service Offices and the Electronic Headquarters in the Public Employment Offer section.

The standardized application form must be accompanied by:

1. Declaration by the interested party stating explicitly that they meet each and every one of the conditions and requirements set forth in the bases, as well as that all the data stated in the application and accompanying documentation are true.

2. Proof of payment of the fee for processing proceedings of selection processes for access to public employment and provision of positions that is valid.
