Éxito en la campaña Bonos Consumo de Parla: más de 300.000 euros en ventas

More than a hundred participating businesses, over 300,000 euros in generated sales, more than 8,000 residents benefited, and a 99.99% redemption rate of vouchers. These are some of the figures resulting from the Consumption Vouchers Campaign promoted by the City Council of Parla, through the Center for Business Initiatives, to support and promote local commerce and help make shopping more affordable for the population. This week, in conjunction with the Department of Culture, the campaign «Poetry Goes Shopping» is being held, and the CIE is already working on the upcoming Tapas and Stock Fairs.

Over 300,000 euros in sales across 120 businesses

The City Council and 120 establishments in Parla have concluded one of the most successful and well-received municipal campaigns to support local commerce, with figures such as the total sales generated amounting to 317,166 euros.

These are Consumption Vouchers. The campaign took place between February 5th and March 11th. Residents were able to download 12,526 vouchers worth 10 euros each from the first week. In the following weeks, the vouchers that had been downloaded but not redeemed were made available.

The Councilor for Commerce, Gema García Torres, explained that «once again, we value very positively the results of the Commercial Dynamization Campaign Consumption Vouchers Parla.»

Over 8,000 residents benefited from discounts

Each person over 18 registered on the campaign website could download a maximum of three vouchers, which their beneficiaries were able to use, one at a time, for every 20 euros spent at participating establishments. In total, 8,053 buyers took advantage of these discount vouchers.

To give all participating businesses the opportunity to increase their sales, each one was allocated a maximum of 200 vouchers to redeem throughout the campaign. In total, 34 establishments redeemed all their vouchers; 54 redeemed over a hundred, and 80 businesses redeemed 50 vouchers.

Food, fashion, bookstore, optics, hairdressing, and beauty, the preferred sectors for cheaper shopping

Regarding the preference of customers to take advantage of the discounts in this campaign, the sectors where vouchers were most used were food (3,785 vouchers), followed by fashion and accessories (1,474 vouchers), bookstore and stationery (1,204), optics services, which collected 1,118 vouchers, and hairdressing and beauty, which redeemed 893 vouchers.

After the successful campaign, the Center for Business Initiatives has launched «Poetry Goes Shopping,» an initiative to boost visits to businesses, which are now decorated with verses and rhymes to commemorate World Poetry Day.

Furthermore, Gema García Torres has announced that «we continue working. Due to the bad weather, we had to postpone the Craft Fair, but our dynamization campaigns never stop, and we are already preparing the second edition of the Tapas Fair, scheduled for May, and the tenth edition of the Stock Fair.»

All with the aim of supporting and boosting economic activity in the municipality and, of course, raising awareness among the population about the importance of local commerce,» concluded Gema García Torres.
