They fear that with the new contract awarded to a private company, prices will increase and it may no longer be accessible to everyone.
This involves a new legal formula known as a concession agreement. This would result in the withdrawal of subsidies and «the imposition of a fee on the awardee.» The opposition is urging the city council to reconsider.
