Borja Mayoral and Lucía Bravo are the man and woman from Parla who deserve the next two columns on Parla’s Walk of Fame, as chosen by popular vote. Once again, artists or artistic collectives from all over Spain can design these columns. This will be done through the public call for Mural Design for the Walk of Fame opened by the City Council, Department of Culture. The deadline for submissions is open until May 25th. The two winning works will each receive a prize of 3,000 euros.

The Parla City Council, through the Department of Culture, has published the guidelines and opened the call to choose the designs for the next two columns in the Walk of Fame. The contest is open to any artist or artistic collective, entity, association, or foundation that wishes to participate, with a single original artistic project for the columns dedicated to the man and woman from Parla chosen by popular vote.
Councilor Gema García Torres detailed this, stating that «the Walk of Fame continues to grow, and in 2025 we will honor, by permanently imprinting their faces, actress Lucía Bravo and footballer Borja Mayoral, both selected through a popular vote.»
«This is why we are announcing the Mural Design contest for the Walk of Fame. The contest will award two prizes of 3,000 euros each, for each of the mural designs representing these two individuals. A mural design project must be developed for each honoree, using a free technique and, of course, adapted to the support on which the pictorial work will be carried out, which is a cylindrical column,» the councilor continued.
Call open until May 25th
Each project must be unpublished, original, and without the use of any material with copyright. It will be presented in a free format, with any graphic art proposal that can be applied to the columns, based on information about the honorees, available to participating artists or collectives in the Walk of Fame section on the municipal website.
Individuals interested in participating can do so in person or electronically. Legal entities can only participate electronically. In both cases, submissions can be made until May 25th. The winning works will be awarded 3,000 euros each
The works submitted to the contest will be evaluated by a jury appointed by the delegate councilor of Culture, composed mostly of professional technical profiles with experience in the field of plastic arts.
The winning proposals, whose authors will receive a prize of 3,000 euros each, will be announced between May 26th and May 30th. «I encourage all artists, artistic collectives, and entities to participate in this contest with an artistic project, original and unpublished, with any graphic art proposal that can be applied to the columns of the Walk of Fame; mural painting, graffiti, illustration, transfer… You have until May 25th to sign up,» concluded Gema García Torres.
