The Parla City Council announced this Friday that the ‘saltwater beach’, one of the few pools of this type in the Community of Madrid, will open its doors on July 1st with a general discount on prices, along with new specific entries for young people.
Both the saltwater pool and those at the Francisco Javier Castillejo Municipal Sports Complex, which will remain open until August 31st, will have more affordable prices, and the criteria of registration for access will be eliminated.
The saltwater spa pool, located on Avenida de las Américas and known as ‘the Parla beach’ for its special features, has facilities of over 3,000 square meters, with a gradual entrance simulating the sea and beach sand, as stated by the City Council in a press release.
The only municipal wave pool in Spain is in Torrejón de Ardoz
It is a facility composed of three pools, from a children’s one to another accessed through a giant slide, all surrounded by beach sand.
Following the ticket price reduction, the adult ticket will cost 6 euros this year, down from 7.5 euros in previous seasons; while the child ticket (4 to 14 years old) decreases from 4.05 to 3.50 euros and the newly created youth ticket, for users aged 15 to 26, will be 5 euros.
Additionally, for the first time, the ‘Parla Beach’ has included prices for afternoon tickets, starting at 3:00 PM, with a price of 4 euros for adult entry and 2.5 euros for children.
