On Sunday night, the National Police carried out an important operation in Parla, where a total of 16 people were arrested, seven of whom are minors.
The arrests followed a massive brawl in which the participants used belts and baseball bats as weapons. The officers also seized these objects during the intervention.
The events started around nine o’clock at night when a report was received about a brawl in the public street, specifically between Jerusalén and Juan de Austria streets. The fight involved members of two rival gangs: the Trinitarios and El 18.

According to witnesses, the Trinitarios inexplicably attacked a young member of the rival gang, stabbing him in the head. Faced with this aggression, the assaulted gang contacted the Police, while the aggressors fled.
However, the situation quickly escalated when members of El 18 sought revenge. This unleashed a pitched battle on Carlos I street, where the participants engaged armed with machetes, swords, and air pistols. Police intervention was decisive in controlling the chaos and apprehending those involved.

Among the detainees are males of Spanish and Moroccan nationality, aged between 14 and 22 years. During the operation, four individuals attempted to flee in a vehicle but were quickly apprehended by law enforcement.
«I looked out and saw a police car parked there, and they detained them. They took out some bags and took them away. Then the police were here looking under the cars to see if they found anything,» recounts Javier, a witness to the event. This account highlights the fear and unease generated by the gang confrontation in this locality.
